LEADERSHIP

KEITH ALLEN
Lead Pastor

Answering the call of God to plant a church in Wabash Keith and Tonia Allen immersed themselves in the community in December of 2020. From 2012 through 2021 Keith served as Pastor of Discipleship at EastPointe Bible church in Peru and prior to that was a locomotive engineer with Norfolk Southern. The Allen's have five adult children and really enjoy being grandparents! Keith and Tonia love discipling others particularly in marriage and biblical gender roles and Keith is passionate about exegetically preaching the word of God without apology.

KEVIN TROTTER
Elder

Kevin and Misty Trotter moved to Wabash in 2018 with the specific intention of planting a multiplying church with an emphasis on reformed doctrine. Kevin serves as the Vice President of Advancement with Josiah White's and has a background in nonprofit work as well as law enforcement. In 2013 he moved to Tampa FL to serve in a key role in planting Harvest Bible Chapel Tampa Bay (now The Grove Tampa). The Trotters they have six children, are passionate about following Christ, shepherding people and serving the local church, and exemplify joyful living for the glory of God.

OUR STORY

Kevin & Misty Trotter

After marriage in 2000, Kevin and Misty Trotter lived in the Indianapolis area for 13 years. Kevin placed his faith in Jesus Christ in 2001, and in 2013, Kevin & Misty were sent out from Harvest Church Indianapolis to be key leaders in planting Harvest Bible Chapel Tampa Bay in Florida. After years of faithful service there, God gave them a heart for rural church planting and He led them to move to Wabash in late 2018. If you have not yet met the Trotter’s, doing so will give you a taste of the Joy of the Lord that exudes from their entire being. Kevin currently serves as an elder at Redemption Bible Church in Fort Wayne and Misty leads a Classical Conversations homeschool community, in Huntington County.

Keith & Tonia Allen

Norfolk Southern railroad, a series of life decisions but mostly the grace of God brought Keith and Tonia Allen from Chicago to nearby Peru in 2000. Soon afterward their marriage began to be restored and Keith genuinely trusted Christ alone for forgiveness of sin. Tonia had been saved at VBS in Madison Wisconsin at age 9 and now they both began to grow in the faith and especially in understanding and enjoying the sovereignty of God in all things. Eventually Keith began to sense the call of God on his life into pastoral ministry and joined the staff at EastPointe Bible Church in Peru in 2012. As of January of 2022 Keith is serving the community of Wabash full-time. Tonia is breeds goldendoodle puppies when she’s not mentoring younger women in the faith.

It’s not a coincidence that both of these men came to know Christ at about the same time. Then, while pursuing ministry in different ways, Kevin as a lay elder and Keith in part-time and eventually full-time pastoring, they were raised up in the faith at their respective churches with providentially came to share core beliefs and vision for the local church. Each family loves discipleship and longs for that emphasis in Wabash.

Earlier in 2021 the elders at Kevin’s church began making plans to plant a new local assembly in Wabash. Meanwhile, while seeking the Lord’s will for how his vision for Wabash might come to fruition, Keith had been having weekly prayer with a small group of people who were also supportive of this work.

Through a chain of friends Keith and Kevin met in June of 2021 and after spending time in prayer, discussing beliefs and philosophy of ministry they became convinced that the Lord was leading them to partner together to plant a church. So far, a total of five churches have pledged support for this effort. And the providential details, too many to share here, of what the Lord is doing in Wabash continue to grow.
