Who We Are
Light City Bible Church is the amazing work of God’s providence. He has seen fit to gather a growing group of sinners in Wabash who are committed to absolute dependence on Jesus Christ for each of the following. Justification is our standing that includes forgiveness of our sin and credit for Jesus' righteousness. Sanctification is the process of how God changes us to become more like Christ. Glorification is the hope of every sinner/saint that God will accomplish what He promises to do. Our faith can be described as resting in Christ for all of these things. in other words, all that Christ accomplished provides all of salvation for those who believe. Another brief way to describe our church is that we are, in order, confessional, reformed and baptist.
Confessional

Being confessional is a way of identifying our desire to remain within the guardrails of historic orthodox Christianity. We believe that the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith and the ecumenical creeds are helpful guides and communicate an accurate summary of Christian faith, once for all handed down. In other words we believe that faithful Christians confess (or agree with) the truths represented in the creeds and confessions.
Reformed

The reformation era was one of positive change in the history of God’s people which brought about much needed reform concerning the teaching of scripture. “Reformed” describes the basics of what we believe and is more, but not less than teaching the Five Solas of the reformation as well as what are commonly called the Doctrines of Grace. We also are committed to continuing reformation of the church in accord with Scripture.
Baptist

Through confessional and reformed teaching we have much in common not only with the historic church but also with many churches and believers today. Within the one true bride of Christ one of the differences is how the sacrament of baptism is administered. We are committed to the baptism of believers. Another highlight is that Baptist churches typically associate and cooperate rather than submit to denominational structure.
